Checking Out
In order to pay for your books and access them after purchase, you will need to check out.

How do I checkout?
When you are in your shopping cart, you can start the checkout process by clicking on the button labeled Checkout.
Or you can click on the button
labeled Buy Now With StrandBucks
to buy your books instantly with StrandBucks. The purchase will be
deducted from your StrandBucks balance, which is displayed beneath the
button. If you do not have a StrandBucks balance, the button will say
Purchase StrandBucks.
Click on the button to add StrandBucks to your account. For more
information about StrandBucks, visit the
StrandBucks help desk page.
A screen will appear asking you to login. Before you can finish checking out and finalize your purchases, you will need to log in to your account. If you do not have a customer account, see My Account for information on how to create one.
Enter your username or e-mail address and password to continue.
Next, you will need to enter your Billing
Information.
If you are a new user, enter the name and billing
information that matches your credit card or PayPal account.
Existing users need to choose one of the following from the
radio buttons:
- Use Default Address - choose this option if the Default
Address displayed above matches the address on your credit card
or PayPal account.
- Use an Alternate Saved Address - choose this option if you
have multiple cards with different billing addresses.
- Add a New Address - choose this option to change your
billing address.
You may also choose to edit an existing address by clicking on the
link labeled Edit Your Existing Addresses.
Next, select a Payment method from one of the options.
Click on Review Order.
Here, you will be able to review the contents of your order, your address and billing information, as well as your payment method. Click Back to make changes or click Submit Order if all the information is correct in order to complete your order.
How do I manage the addresses associated with
my account?
To add a new address - Select the radio button next to Add a New
Address. Fill in all the required fields. If you want to save the
address to use again for future purchases, make sure that the button is
checked next to Save This Address. To use a different saved
address - Select the radio button next to Use an Alternate Saved
Address. Choose the address from the dropdown menu. If you have not
already first added another address, you will need to do so by selecting
Add a New Address.
To change your default address - Click on the link labeled Edit
Your Existing Addresses. Here, you will see a
display of all your saved addresses. Navigate to the one that you'd
like to select as your default, and click the button under it labeled Set
as Default Address.
Is there a minimum amount I need in order to checkout?
If you are paying via Credit Card or Paypal, your order total must be at least $3.49. If you are using StrandBucks, there is no minimum order amount.
What do I put for State/Province if the field is blank?
If you live outside the U.S., you may notice that the State/Province field is blank after you select your country. However, BookStrand.com requires a state/province entry in order to process your order. Please enter a U.S. address in order to proceed. If you do not have a U.S. address to enter, you may also enter a placeholder address, such as the one below:

I have completed my order, now where are my books?
Once you complete an order at BookStrand.com, you can access the books from your bookshelf, which is located in My Account. To do so:
Select My Account from the upper right hand portion of the screen. Click on the My Bookshelf tab.
You should now see a list of all the books you have just purchased. Click on the hyperlink of your chosen format to access your book.
I have entered my address information, but I am receiving an error when I try to checkout that says the address is required. What do I do?
If you receive an error asking you for an address, check to make sure that you have also entered information for your billing address. If your billing address matches your home address, make sure to check the box next to My billing information is the same as my address information above.
Can I receive a refund for a purchased book?
No, BookStrand.com does not refund purchases for any reason. All sales are final. See our full refund policy for more details.
