How to Read eBooks on My Kobo










What formats does my Kobo support?
The Kobo can read EPUBs and PDFs (Adobe Acrobat).
How do I add eBooks to my Kobo?

Drag and drop on a Windows computer

  1. Connect your eReader to your computer using the USB cable.
  2. For a Wireless or original Kobo eReader select Manage Library.
  3. Press the center of the Navigation pad.
  4. For a Kobo eReader Touch, tap Connect.
  5. Windows should automatically detect your eReader.
  6. When prompted, click Open folder to view files.
  7. A window should open displaying the contents of your eReader.
  8. Open another Explorer window.
  9. Navigate to where you stored the books or documents (in EPUB or PDF format) that you want to move to your eReader.
  10. Drag those files to the eReader window.
  11. Windows will copy these files to your eReader.
  12. You can now eject and disconnect your eReader and read your new items.

Drag and drop on a Macintosh computer

  1. Connect your eReader to your computer using the USB cable.
  2. For a Wireless or original Kobo eReader select Manage Library.
  3. Press the center of the Navigation pad.
  4. For a Kobo eReader Touch, tap Connect.
  5. On your Macintosh computer, open Finder.
  6. Select KOBOeReader from your list of devices.
  7. Finder will display the contents of your eReader.
  8. Open another Finder window and navigate to where you stored the books or documents (in EPUB or PDF format) that you want to move to your eReader.
  9. Drag those files to the eReader window.
    • Finder will copy these files to your eReader.
  10. You can now eject and disconnect your eReader and read your new items.
