INTERVIEW
Q: How do you get the ideas for your novels?
A: I really don’t have any idea, although storylines usually
present themselves in the wee small hours. Then I mould them
together later in the day.
Q: Are your characters based on real people?
A: They’re more like a composite. Some aspects of their
personality and circumstances may be borrowed from several
people I know.
Q: How do you name your characters?
A: I start out with names that sound “right” but may change them
afterwards as the characters and story develops. Hannah, in
The Red Velvet Horse, was named after a favorite Aunt, who
is also my best friend.
Q: What do you do when you’re not writing?
A: I catch up on housework! And I love to walk on the cliffs
around my home.
Q: What is your favorite place?
A: The sea. I love its voice and changing moods. That’s why I
live in a lighthouse.
Q: Are you writing anything at the moment?
A: Yes, a sequel to The Red Velvet Horse.
